Svezia, inferno e paradiso (Sweden Heaven and Hell)

Since I'm Swedish, I suppose it's unsurprising that I've got a soft spot for Luigi Scattini's Svezia, inferno e paradiso. This is one of the two alternate posters for the film. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on the other, more well-known, poster. 

I once wrote a review of the film that can still be found here, but of course it pales in comparison to the in-depth writings of Tim Lucas and Lars Erik Holmkvist (of the now sadly defunct Terror in the Midnight Sun blog) in Video Watchdog 145. Highly recommended (and still available)

Tony Arzenta (Big Guns)

I started the Giallo Locandine blog off with a Duccio Tessari poster, so I figured I'd do the same here. Tony Arzenta is one of my favourite Tessari films and one of my favourite Italian crime films in general. Alain Delon is excellent as the hitman out for revenge and the film features some great action scenes and a fantastic soundtrack by Gianni Ferrio. Unfortunately Tessari's films have been poorly represented on dvd and blu-ray so far and this is no exception. The Japanese King Records release I've got is cut and as far as I know no other versions are English friendly.

The locandina art (by an unknown artist) is fairly disappointing, but the film itself is highly recommended for those who might have missed it.
