La Polizia incrimina la legge assolve (High Crime)

Enzo G. Castellari's first poliziotto, La Polizia incrimina la legge assolve, is arguably his best film and one of the finest examples of Italian crime cinema. Franco Nero is excellent as Vice Comissioner Belli, who's willing to go to great lengths to stop a drug smuggling ring.
It's a real shame that only way to see it is a custom dvd made by combing the long out of print, non-anamorphic and shoddy looking DVD from around 2003 with the English language track.
This is one of my favourite crime posters in all its simplicity, but unfortunately I've got no info on the poster artist.

Tony Arzenta (Big Guns)

I started the Giallo Locandine blog off with a Duccio Tessari poster, so I figured I'd do the same here. Tony Arzenta is one of my favourite Tessari films and one of my favourite Italian crime films in general. Alain Delon is excellent as the hitman out for revenge and the film features some great action scenes and a fantastic soundtrack by Gianni Ferrio. Unfortunately Tessari's films have been poorly represented on dvd and blu-ray so far and this is no exception. The Japanese King Records release I've got is cut and as far as I know no other versions are English friendly.

The locandina art (by an unknown artist) is fairly disappointing, but the film itself is highly recommended for those who might have missed it.
